The NEFF Story

NEFF Kitchens, Inc.  has been creating extraordinary luxury cabinets since 1966, when a young German craftsman, Paul Neff, joined a migration to Canada of talented design-savvy entrepreneurs like Klaus Nienkämper , and set about to bring chic European design and quality to the new world.

Paul became a leader in innovation and avant-garde design, applying technologies from the aerospace and automotive industries, among others, to develop some of the most beautiful, functional and durable cabinetry available.

The cognoscenti of the design world knew a good thing when they saw it and demand for NEFF cabinets expanded around the  world.  NEFF mastered the cabinetmaker’s art of gracefully curving a wood door, employing laminate patterns that can’t be distinguished from real wood veneers, and achieving a high gloss finish that few, if any, can match. Many of Paul Neff’s innovations are still exclusive to NEFF today.

In 2004, Paul retired and sold the business to cabinet-maker, Miro Nowak, who had started his own cabinet-making business in 1985 and sold it after 20 successful years.  Miro and the NEFF team have continued Paul’s tradition of innovation and quality, for example, creating the stunning traditional cabinetry of the Louis Philippe Collection, and the Valet Closet Collection – leather trimmed closet cabinetry tailored to fit your home and style.

Today, NEFF’s artisans combine state-of-the-art manufacturing processes with precision handcrafting, to create stunning custom cabinets right here in North America.  With showrooms in many fine cities, including London, Paris, Moscow, Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, NEFF kitchens, baths, closets and custom woodwork adorn some of the finest homes of distinction throughout the world.
